Home Design & Decor 2008 at Expo during the weekend and drop by to 2 more ID firms. The 1st was
********* ideas and a sale guy attended to us. Why I said sale guy because after getting our requirements he gives a weird design and upon questions by us, he said the design will leave to their designer to crack their heads...
WTF! And the idea he give is to have about a metre plus a bit gap between the TV and Sofa by the full height window... Lost confidence in them but I must said their
preliminary quotation is the lowest, 19k. Oh btw we got a
FREE umbrella ha ha. Me more n more uncle liao ha ha.
After we left the booth, I deliberately hold my
floorplan facing out and it works!! Catch the eye of a ID who invited us to have a talk and offer their services to us. The firm is
****** Design who claim to have 10 over years of experience in this industry but changed their name about 4 years ago. The guy who was dragged us in took care of the writing of the requirements and another guy was roped in to the design. This is the 1st time we are served by 2 people
le. Like that do we need to pay 2 person's work huh?
(-_-!!!)The designer (D1) took very long time to design and the other guy (Q1) was busy explaining he long time din do design most of the time at site doing coordination work so need some time ya.
Btw Q1 was very ah
beng one. After a long wait, D1 finally give up and find another designer (D2) for help. Q1 then explained that D2 graduated from design school so design sure good one.
Wah then D2 should be serving us in the 1st place
mah. Wasted so much of our time.
I waited also very
sian liao so I just drew what I had in mind for them. Then Q1 insisted that their design is better and my design don need a designer

DL lor this design they cant even come up
lor and need to find another designer
lor. Anyway their design same as
Citydesign one
lor squeeze the TV area and Dining are in the living room
lor. All on the long side wall and watch TV need to pull curtain if not got reflection, not hot
meh.
In the end their quotation is
ok not very cheap one but they kept claiming they are the cheapest you can find
lor. Q1 kept throwing in cash
vouchers persuading us to sign up with them. In the end we just get the quotation and left. :P Actually we are comfortable with D1 but definitely not Q1. We temporaily put them into our shortlist. ;)
Reached home tired and remember saw the
****** Design in Renotalk forum so went online to read about their review... Review was not good and people put their horrible picture of their renovation up to showcase. Well, they are out of our shortlist.
Meanwhile, we see who else can find...
