Bean Bags

Got these 2 bean bag covers from Australia during the ICT's R&R.
The beans refills are bought online from Play with beans who does a free delivery. It saves my time and effort to buy and carry back from others cheaper sources.

The one on the right initially belongs to LF but after she tried the one on the left... It became mine... Nevertheless I am okay with either one. :)

Christmas Light Up!!!

Christmas is round the corner!! We bought the decoration from Ikea and got ourselves a small optic fiber Christmas Tree.

DIY Book Shelf Doors

Got the plastics sheet from Dama at Kaki Bukit. Hinges are from the hardware shop and handles are from Ikea.



Spent the whole saturday morning drilling and fixing the doors.

Display Shelf

Got the display shelf from Ikea. Really din expect it to be so heavy... Initially, I thought of carrying it back home but luckily I din and got a car to ferry it back. This shelf weights 42kg!! A few kg lighter than me...

Just carrying it in and out of car and up to the flat make me sweat... Nevertheless it was a good workout.

Satisfied with the shelf and finally peace to the ear... No more complains on no place to display this and no place to display that. Oops =)

Garden

Our Mini garden right at our door step. The rack was DIY using ikea's on offer shelf door and daiso's wooden poles. Plants were bought from ikea and the trays were from daiso.

Daiso at IMM offers a lot of the garden ware. It is really good and cheap place to buy the garden decoration and there are lots of design to choose from.

Hopefully the plants will 快高长大. =)



Will get more plants in the future to make it a nicer garden. Time to go garden shopping!!!

The New Floor wiper mop will clean faster due to the bigger mop size but you need to use your body weight to press dry the mop which we felt is no different from the conventional mop press. The Twist System is much easier to use and it can be spin real dry to be use for laminated flooring. The wiper can be machine wash which is a very good feature and environmental friendly. Cool gadget!! Salute to the German!!

Misc items and Purchases

Got a mini desktop fan for the master bedroom. It is quiet and good. :)

Just done up the Bamboo Decal today at the Living room area. Initially I wanted lime green but xiaofang said the green not nice therefore got the Tan color instead.

Got for myself a Lego Mindstorm NXT. A fully programmable robot. Cant wait to start my robot but 1st I have to go Daiso to get the boxes to store the different parts.

Spent a couple of dollars and hours to do this decal.

The vinyl sticker was bought from HomeFix. It is quite a big piece and I can use it for other future workz.

Novita Garment Steamer

We got the Novita Garment Steamer last saturday from Best Denki. We got the model SS18 instead of the SS16 because of the metal structure at the hose, larger wattage and a better stand to hook the clothes. Anyway the price difference is only $54 which we find that it is better to get the better one. ;)

After 1x use by xiaofang, it gets a bit of heavy after a while of usage and the hose gets pretty hot too. My take is that it is useful for lazy guy like me to use the steamer to steam the sofa, curtain and hmmm... anything i lazy to take out haha.

Our chest of Drawers, Study Chairs and Magazine rack bought from S&C arrived on 7 march.

Our Study Chair, we got 2 of it so each of us will get to sit ha ha. Thought of getting 1 red and 1 blue but then again the room would be too colorful ha ha.

Microwave Oven

Great Harvey Norman Sale this weekend!! We got this Microwave Oven from Funan Harvey Norman. The model is Panasonic NN-C784MF, come with baking, grill and microwave function. Got it for $299 after many many weeks of thinking.

It comes with a cookbook which is handy for the both of us. We will be having more variety of dinner instead of just spaghetti, maggi mee and outside food!! Hooray!!!

Study Desk

Finally my PC had a home too!! Xiaofang's laptop came and bunked in with my PC. Luckily quite a big 'home' and can be shared by a PC and a laptop. :P My PC's mistress, Mio Router, will be moving in soon and My PC will be left hug right hug.

Anyway being a good friend of Ikea, this good bargain was gotten from there.

Guess wat is the white triangle? Well it is a telephone cum a night light. Got it cheap cheap at Anchorpoint.

Storeroom Rack

Got my storeroom rack from Yee Sin. It was fixed up last Sat.

Opting for an L-shaped configuration like the one below, it was a 4-layer standard configuration, using 12mm plywood boards.

Renovation Completion

Happy New Year to everybody!!! A new year with a new house to stay, clean and take care of. It had been a great experience doing renovation. I had earned valuable experience in both managing ID and sourcing for furniture. It was both tiring and yet fun. Of course if there is a chance to redo, we definitely will redo some of the reno. Not that it is badly done but we think practical and easy maintainence is the way to go. Anyway, we have been living in the house for quite some time and feel good!!!
